Bowling at Amoeba play Arena, Atrium Mall in Gachibowli

 

I would like to share my experience on visiting Atrium mall in Gachibowli.

I love playing ‘Bowling’ sport, whenever I feel bored, I would go for it. But generally, these places are heavily crowded on weekends. So, I was planning to go for Bowling on weekdays at Atrium mall since long. Finally, I’ve visited on a weekday last week. Generally, Atrium mall takes 20-30 mins ride from my stay, and I planned to leave at 11 AM. But thinking that traffic might be heavy at this time, I postponed to 12 noon. After waiting for an hour, I’ve started at 12.15 PM on my bike and reached the mall at 12.45 PM, parked my bike at parking lot, reached the ground floor by lift, stepped out of lift, turned right and walked straight. I could see ‘Decathlon’ store on my right which is very big as it occupies the whole ground floor and even the first floor as well. I like to check the store but gave it up as its already 1.00 PM when I looked at my watch. I went back to lift and head straight away to Third floor where Bowling alley is present. I reached the 3^rd floor, and I could see ‘Amoeba’ gaming zone just infront of me when lift doors were opened. I walked straight away and entered gaming zone, I could see a couple experiencing VR(Virtual Reality) game and they are completely indulged in it. I just had a look to see what are the other games it hosts. It has Basket ball game, pool game, Shooting game, Bike and car racing games. I was searching for Bowling game and finally I spotted it.

Group of people are already playing the bowling game and I’m excited too to play the game.I walked to the person at the counter and enquired on the cost for one game.This guy looks fair and he might be from East or North India having squared face, black and well groomed hair. He told me one game cost and additional charges for shoes with socks. As a first time visitor, Its mandatory for me to take a smart card from ‘Amoeba’ franchise which I should bring it for all future visits. So I’ve paid the total amount and he has given me shoes to wear while bowling. He swiped the card, entered my name ‘Yuga’ and clicked start game. I could see game started with my name on the screen, all set for me to go for my first hit.

On my left I found big balls with different sizes like 8,9 and 10 . I lifted up each ball and i could feel the difference in weight. Balls with size 8 weighed less when compared to 9 and 10.But one disadvantage with 8 size is our fingers might get struck within the holes while bowling. I’ve decided to go with 8 ize balls as it’ll be easier to throw as it is little light than other balls. These balls are of different colors like Blue,orange,red,pink and dark green. I picked orange colored ball of size 8, pulled my hand back and threw the ball towards the target. As its been a long time since I pplayed bowling, i couldn’t throw it in proper direction and it had hit only one bowling pin at the left corner.I was little disappointed and this time I took my time before throwing the ball.I threw it little slower towards the centre of the pins. The ball deviated slightly away from centre of pins while rolling and hit the pins to left of the centre pin. Now only three pins stood this time which i better than previous hit and felt happy now. With more confidence now, I started hitting the pins. My game is getting better ball by ball and the best part is all pins went down for last two hits. I felt really happy though my fingers are hurting a bit bacause of weight of balls, ignoring the pain I’m waiting to see my final score on the screen which is being loaded. In a minute, appeared final score as 83 which is not my best but highest among all other players. Hoping that my play will get better on frequent visits,I took a snap of the score board, returned the shoes to them, took back my shoes, took the elevator to parking lot, left the mall to my stay.
