My visit to 3D world near Golconda fort

I would like to share my experience on visiting 3D world near Golconda fort.

I have booked a ticket for one day Hyderabad trip package offered by Telangana tourism. I’ve boarded the bus at 8 AM at Begumpet tourism plaza. As part of the package, we have visited to Birla Mandir, Tank Bund, Hussain Sagar, Golconda fort, 3D world and Salarjung Museum. Here I’ll be focusing on 3D world as I’ve visited them for first time.

We have stopped for breakfast at Hotel Kamath near Birla Mandir. I’ve ordered for Poori which tastes good even though pricing is a bit expensive. I also liked the cleanliness and the hospitality offered by them.

Our bus reached Golconda fort by 10.30 AM and 3D world is present just opposite to the fort. Our guide has collected ticket money for 3D world from each tourist. After waiting for some time, we are allowed to go inside the 3D theatre building and we are asked to sit in the big waiting hall. This hall has Luxury gold coloured sofas arranged in circular fashion for visitors to sit and relax meanwhile the 3D theatre gets ready. I could smell the fragrance of some scent in the room but I’m not exactly sure of the details of perfume. The wall of the hall has many photos framed pictures which depicts the culture and heritage of Hyderabad city and the royal grandeur of Nizams. I could see the pictures of Mir Osman Ali Khan, the then British Residency at Hyderabad, old picture of Charminar, Khalwat Chow Mahalla palace, Parda Gate, Charminar Street, High Court, Koti palace, painting room of Falak Numa palace, pictures of cars or vehicles used by Nizams, Seven Tombs, Chow mahal palace interior, Asman Garh palace, Vintage cars, Purani Haveli and its interior, State museum, royal dining hall of Falak Numa palace , expensive and beautiful diamond jewelry and ornaments worn by the Queens of Nizams. Apart from pictures, they also have collection of utensils and decorative items used by the Nizams like vintage telephone coated with gold, cups, plates and saucers made from gold, hookah pots, brass water pots, swords used by Nizams, walking sticks and mini sculptures made of ivory.

we have been called to the theatre as it is ready and we have occupied the seats available. We are asked to wear the 3D glasses as movie is about to begin and the movie has begun. The movie is 20 mins duration which is all about the history of Hyderabad, when and how it was ruled by Nizams. It also talks about the royal palaces built by them and about their administration, heirs of Nizam dynasty, the revolt against Nizams by local public and when was Nizam's rule came to an end in Hyderabad.

I came to know so many things about the history of Hyderabad. Till date, I thought I know everything about Hyderabad but I’m wrong, there is a lot more to know about the history of Hyderabad and lot of places in the city to witness the lost culture and heritage.
